About Me

∷ All around us, a great big book of wonder ∴ The earth we walk, the sky we're under These moments are mine, they belong to me

I'm living in Kiel since 1991. I was born in Göttingen in 1965.

This site is mainly showing photos taken within the recent years. I've sadly neglected this wonderful hobby for decades, but now am back.

Most pictures are taken with the Pentax K-5 or K-3, digital SLRs, and interchangeable lenses from different manufacturers. The available focal-length range extends from an 8mm fisheye to a 200mm telephoto.

In addition, I still use a Samsung EX1, a good and compact camera. Added to this are various flashes, tripods, light shapers and other (home-) studio accessories.

My favorite subjects are landscapes, details and inanimate objects for the moment. They don't complain about the results ;O)

My photos are usually not of documentary type, but processed to show my impressions during the shooting situation as good as possible. The processing is limited to the options the develop module of Lightroom is offering. I don't like Photoshop, and therefore I use it extremely rarely (1 image out of thousand or less).
